About the Journal

Journal of Contemporary Social Issues (JCSI) is a scholarly initiative of the Shah Rafi Uddin Institute of Knowledge and Research (SRD-IKR), established with the vision to foster critical engagement with emerging and evolving social issues in the modern world.

The journal provides a vibrant platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share original research—quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods—alongside reflective essays, case analyses, and book reviews that explore the complex intersections of society, culture, politics, education, and ethics.

JCSI is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that follows a double-blind review process, ensuring rigorous academic standards and scholarly integrity. The journal is particularly committed to encouraging interdisciplinary approaches and context-driven insights that address both local and global social challenges from fresh and informed perspectives.

With an aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, JCSI invites contributions that not only advance academic discourse but also inform policy and impact communities meaningfully.
